GSMYC Children's Shelter Car Wash Benefit a Success! 12/26/2007
By: Julia Ramsay-New Add A Picture Report A Problem
Inclement weather on Dec. 8th gave way to a great day to get your car washed, buy home-baked treats, bid on items generously donated by local merchants……..with the added benefit of supporting the Children’s Shelter operated by the Greater San Marcos Youth Council. Conley Carwash and Detail hosted the 5th annual event with 15% of the proceeds going directly to the care of the children. With everyone’s help, we were able to raise over $4,000 for the children of the shelter.
Each year, over 150 abused, neglected or abandoned children live temporarily in the 16-bed shelter. Owners Will Conley, Rebecca Conley and Mark Ray were all on hand to show their commitment to the children of our community.
