Prathers campaign said poll workers asked for more identification than the law requires, adding that the students turned away came to at least 100.

Friday, Hays County Elections Administrator Joyce Cowan disputed the claim.

"Didnt happen", Cowan said.

I've been confused by this too because I respect Joyce, especially after her role in exposing the ACC forgeries. There WERE students who were denied their right to vote. I know of one woman who had to retrieve a San Marcos map out of her car to prove here address was in the city.

Here's my take: Our people exaggerated a little. Joyce is downplaying a little.
