Looking at the San Marcos Record you will see a link to an absolutely shocking story. Bandits take off with sunglasses! The horror!

Where is the story about the bandits who destroyed a half dozen or so HVAC units Thursday morning? A business park near downtown got hit hard forcing multiple local businesses to close down until next week. $1500 sunglasses? Try $10k+ in damage not to mention the cost of the business owners having to close shop to wait on repairs.

Where is the story? Record? Newstreamz? Merucry?

This is one of those crimes thats been going on everywhere in this country, especially in Texas. As I live outside the nurturing bosom that is SM (Stuck In Big D), we've seen an increase in my neighborhood (Deep Ellum). One of the big problems is inaction on the part of our heroes in state government pushing for tighter verification of scrap metal dealers and more severe penalties for the theives themselves. We had a situation up here not too long ago where a guy ended up getting electrocuted and dying, all for 50 bucks worth of copper, while doing 20K in damage to a power pole/transformer.
